Dünya Savaşı ilan edileli yaklaşık bir sene olmuş. İşte bu noktada sinema adına bir şeyler değişiyor. Charlie Chaplin, 15 Ekim 1940 tarihinde The Great Dictator&nbsp;isimli filmini vizyona sokuyor. Bu zamana kadar her aşamasında -mecburi- deneysel olan sinema, bir kırılma anı yaşıyor ve her daim kullandığı tek anlatım türü olan klasik tarzdan çıkıp hiciv&nbsp;ile tanışıyor. Üstelik zamanının çok ötesinde esprili bir dil ile. Biz de o yıllarda sinemayı kendine mesken bellemiş bireyler olarak üstümüze düşeni yapıyor ve "Vaay, bu ne be?!" diyoruz. Öyle ki işgal edilen ülkelerde Hitler'in ilk icraatlarından biri, sinema salonlarını kapattırmak oluyordu. Almanya’nın Belçika’yı işgalindeki gibi.Tabii, Hitler'in kapattıracak sinema salonu bulamadığı ülkeler de mevcuttu. Bunun söz konusu olmadığı yerlerde savaşın getirdiği ekonomik sıkıntılar ve can pazarındaki büyük hareketlilik nedeniyle zaten halkın sinemaya gitme talebi içerisinde bulunması, bir garip olurdu, di mi? Hatta artan bilet fiyatları ve muhtemel bir hava saldırısında kolayca hedef alınabilme ihtimalini de göz önünde bulundurunca... Hayır, öyle olmadı. İnsanlar her şeye rağmen, savaşın gidişatından haberdar olabilmek için sinemaya gitmeye devam ettiler. Hem de yer altında... Zaten az sayıda olan filmlerin adı, ortalama beş sene kadar zirvede kalabiliyordu. Savaş sonrasında ise sinemanın manipülasyon gücü keşfedilmiş ve başta Almanya ile Rusya olmak üzere pek çok Avrupa ülkesi, yerel sinemasını güçlendirmeye karar vermişti. Tabii dünyanın yeni süper gücü ABD durur mu?&nbsp;Halihazırda 15-20 sene aralığında, oldukça yerel, yeni tekniklere ve yüzlere fazlasıyla karşı olan Hollywood sinemasının kapılarını kırıp dağıtım olanaklarını geliştirmek adına kesenin ağzını sonuna kadar açıp bu alanda tartışmasız bir hakimiyet sahibi oldu. "Tarihi, yalnızca kazananlar yazar."&nbsp;söyleminin uçmasına müsaade etmeyip yazıya döktüğü gibi, bunu bir de beyaz perde ile perçinledi.&nbsp;Velhasıl II.
